What to Expect
- Exam Prep Course: This course is designed to help you prepare for a certification exam. You can expect coverage of all exam learning objectives, with a focus on understanding key concepts, terminology, and how they’re assessed. For a deeper, more hands-on learning experience, consider Course 3644, Agile Project Management Training.
- Content Volume: Certification courses cover a large amount of material in a short time. Instructors prioritize content tied to exam objectives and supplementary topics may be addressed as time allows.
- Content Pace: Certification courses are fast-paced so that all exam objectives are covered. Instructors adhere to a stricter schedule so that everything is covered. While discussions and examples are included, the focus remains on certification readiness.
- Outside of Class Study Time: Plan for self-study outside of class, especially if the content is new to you. Passing the exam is not guaranteed.
Audience & Prerequisites
- Who Should Attend: This course is designed for project managers would would like to apply agile concepts to their PM practices. It is intended to provide an agile framework to those who already have some basic project experience.
- Official Prerequisites: There are no official prerequisites required from the certifying bodies (APMG and ABC).
- Pre-Course Knowledge: It is expected that attendees will have some familiarity and experience with project management concepts prior to attending class. Familiarity with scrum at the level of {course:3627} is also helpful.
Required Pre-Course Preparation
- Review the pre-course communication from Learning Tree to understand how to access all of your course materials.
- Ensure you have access to your My Learning Tree portal before the start of class. Reach out to Learning Tree customer service if you are having trouble.
- Familiarize yourself with the Agile Manifesto and the AgilePM v3 Edition 2 Reference Book before class (sent via email before class).
Certification & Exam Information
- Certification Alignment: This course helps you prepare for the AgilePM v3 Edition 2 Foundation certification.
- Certification Expectations: Attendees should expect that some study outside of course hours will be required for certification success. The amount of self-study will depend on prior familiarity with the topic. Passing the exam is not guaranteed.

- Pass Rate: 30 out of 50 (60%)

Module 2: Scrum Overview and Integration with AgilePM
- Describe the Scrum roles, events, artifacts, and commitments
- Explain Scrum theory and the three pillars of empiricism
- Integrate Scrum with AgilePM to align delivery and governance
Module 3: Individuals and Interactions
- Apply the 9 Principles of Agile Leadership in project contexts
- Define the responsibilities of key roles across value ownership, solution delivery, and delivery enablement
- Engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members
Module 4: Collaboration and Communication
- Define collaboration and recognize characteristics of collaborative teams
- Identify and address common communication pitfalls in projects

Module 5: Project Lifecycle Framework
- Describe the purpose and activities of the Pre-Project, Feasibility, Foundations, Delivery, Deployment, and Realization phases

- Define requirements at different levels including epics and user stories
- Write user stories using the format, 4Cs, and INVEST model
