The exam is comprised of a maximum of 90 multiple choice and performance-based questions. Candidates have 90 minutes to complete the exam.

DataSys+ Certification Training FAQs
There are no formal prerequisites, but CompTIA recommends having CompTIA Network+ and some hands-on experience with database administration, data analysis, and SQL querying before attempting DataSys+.
The exam covers five domains:
- Data Flow (21%) - Data lifecycle, acquisition, extraction, transformation, loading, warehousing, mining, etc.
- Data Processing (16%) - Processing methods and techniques, normalization, cleansing, mining, etc.
- Data Storage (15%) - Storage media, access methods, SQL, data warehousing, etc.
- Data Security (24%) - Encryption, authentication, access controls, data policies, auditing, etc.
- Data Analysis (24%) - Analytics concepts, visualization, predictive modeling, prescriptive modeling, etc.
The exam is comprised of a maximum of 90 multiple choice and performance-based questions. Candidates have 90 minutes to complete the exam.
The passing score is 750 on a scale of 100-900.
CompTIA DataSys+ is valid for 3 years from the date of certification.
You can renew by either retaking the exam or earning Continuing Education (CE) credits. CompTIA recommends earning 30 CE credits within 3 years.
