Many of today's popular and modern software applications, such as Power BI, Excel, Tableau or even Qlik, are designed to simplify creating comprehensive reports, visualizations and dashboards. However, with these easy-to-install software applications, many professionals simply create without measuring the impact and effectiveness of those reports and dashboards.
External pressure, such as market forces, management priorities, user base, personal drive for knowledge or potentially lack of training, can exacerbate these habits.
This webinar will discuss data visualization and how you should approach your report and dashboard construction by applying some design and science. We will also discuss which visuals could be used for specific reports and which visuals are time-consuming, ineffective, and should be avoided if possible.
You will learn how to:
- Use scientific principles to your advantage to aid your users in interpreting your reports and dashboards.
- Apply graphic design concepts to create clean and crisp visualizations.
- Choose the most effective type of visual to portray your message.
